James E. Clyburn Technology Center and Garners Ferry Technology Center Computer Courses Introduction to Computers IThis is a basic beginner's class. Starting with maneuvering the mouse to learn the components of the PC and its peripherals. This class will cover how to manage Windows and how to organize files and folders. Introduction to Word Processing, Internet and Email basics will be covered in this course. Modifications: Maximum of two patrons per quad area, seated diagonally from one another and maintaining a safe distance. Masks required. Patrons must sanitize hands before and after center usage. Stations will be sanitized before and after usage by patrons and staff. Patrons waiting to be assisted must maintain social distancing. Maximum number of patrons: 13Microsoft Publisher 2010 Learn how to create publications quickly and easily by choosing from a variety of backgrounds, layouts and artwork or create one from scratch. At the end of this class you will be able to create brochures, newsletters, flyers, and other publications for print or web. This clinic is geared towards Adults 18 years and older that are playing adult league level 2.5-4.0 NTRP. Players will get drilled on doubles strategies such as lobs, poaching, and court positioning. Players will also get to play a lot of points incorporating things learned from the drills.

Cheer & Dance Startz Here (Cheer & Majorette):Cheer and Majorette class curriculum will expose each child Fundamentals of Traditional Cheerleading, incorporate art of Stomp and Shake Cheerleading for the students interested in cheer.  The Art of Majorette Dance for participants interested in expressing themselves through art of dance.Parents  no prior cheer or dance experience  required to join our program but  emphasize the importance of paying attention , no talking while coach is introducing or reviewing a skill, try your best all the time, ask questions when you are unsure, and follow directions,  and  practice, practice, practice.Students that desire to participate in Hip Hop Majorette and Stomp N Shake Cheerleading must be 10 years old and up attend completed Cheer and Majorette class for 4 weeks to learn the basics Cheer motions, jumps, level one tumbling with Satisfactory and above in skill progression.  Majorette routines are high-energy, synchronized, rhythmic dance moves include level one tumbling, cheer dance moves, jumps in their pom and dance routines.Class Dress Code:  shorts, leggings, fleece sweats, long or short sleeves tee shirt sports bras for developing young ladies.  No jeggings, Jean’s or school uniforms, cheer uniforms from other teams such as pop Warner, schools, or leagues, wear sneakers no boots, slippers or sandals, dress shoes jewelry Cheer & Dance Startz Here has new no share policy as Result of COVID-19 pan epidemic in order to minimize the risk of exposure. Cheer & Dance Startz Here (Cheer & Majorette):Cheer and Majorette class curriculum will expose each child Fundamentals of Traditional Cheerleading, incorporate art of Stomp and Shake Cheerleading for the students interested in cheer.  The Art of Majorette Dance for participants interested in expressing themselves through art of dance.Parents  no prior cheer or dance experience  required to join our program but  emphasize the importance of paying attention , no talking while coach is introducing or reviewing a skill, try your best all the time, ask questions when you are unsure, and follow directions,  and  practice, practice, practice.Students that desire to participate in Hip Hop Majorette and Stomp N Shake Cheerleading must be 10 years old and up attend completed Cheer and Majorette class for 4 weeks to learn the basics Cheer motions, jumps, level one tumbling with Satisfactory and above in skill progression.  Majorette routines are high-energy, synchronized, rhythmic dance moves include level one tumbling, cheer dance moves, jumps in their pom and dance routines.Class Dress Code:  shorts, leggings, fleece sweats, long or short sleeves tee shirt sports bras for developing young ladies.  No jeggings, Jean’s or school uniforms, cheer uniforms from other teams such as pop Warner, schools, or leagues, wear sneakers no boots, slippers or sandals, dress shoes jewelry Cheer & Dance Startz Here has new no share policy as Result of COVID-19 pan epidemic in order to minimize the risk of exposure. Memory Fit is dedicated to helping active adults remain independent, physically active and mentally strong. We accomplish this goal by providing memory training courses to strengthen the mind and improve physical activity. We want adults to reconsider how they look at aging and remember they are people and not a number. Our training sessions are kept small because we want everyone to have the opportunity to participate and learn. Participants receive skill builders each session so they can immediately put into practice what they learn. Memory-In-Training Sessions (12:00 pm-1:00 pm)October 20, 2020, Forgetting Names & Faces: If you have trouble with remembering peoples name or if you recognize a face but cannot remember the name this training course is for you. In this training session you will learn about the different types of memory and how memories are created. You will also learn basic techniques to remember names and faces. This training session is 1-hour $40. October 27, 2020, Forgetting Where You Place Items: If you are constantly misplacing items this training course is for you. In this training course you will learn about the different types of memory and how memories are created. You will also learn basic techniques to remember placement of items. This training session is 1-hour for $40. November 3, 2020, Forgetting to Do Things In the Future: If you are having trouble remembering to keep appointments, birthdays, special occasions, or to do things in the future this course is for you. In this course you will learn about the different types of memories and how memories are created. You will also learn basic techniques to help you remember how to keep up with things you must do in the future. this training session is 1-hour for $40. November 10, 2020, Memory-For-Fitness: If you would like to learn more about foods that promote healthy heart and brain this training course is for you. In this course you will learn how healthy eating habits support a healthy heart and brain. You will also learn about the different types of memory and how memories are created. This training session is 1-hour and 30 minutes for $50. This course is 2 hours per week for 4 weeks. The cost of this course is $40 per class. Students will learn both rhythm tap (focuses more on music and rhythms), as well as musicality and timing. There will be a full costume recital at the end of the dance year. *Wear comfortable dance attire, sneakers, and nude jazz shoesArtistic Dance Academy Trio-Choose three disciplines of dance for the price of one (Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Jazz & Hip-Hop Classes) Private Lessons-Students will be able to receive one-on-one assistance with a qualified teacher to work on dance techniques, form, posture and performance. Student Apprentice Program-The Student Apprentice Program is offered by Artistic Dance Academy for dancers who want to take their knowledge further than what's offered in instructor-based classes. It provides an opportunity for current dancers at our studio to apprentice alongside one of our qualified teachers and assist them while they are instructing their classes. Our program pairs up apprentices and instructors in actual pre-school ballet classes located at North Springs or Blythewood Park. This program is for dancers who are currently registered at Artistic Dance Academy and have a minimum of one year dance training. There is no set age requirement however, students will be evaluated and accepted based on their skill level. Students will be able to take up to three classes for the price of one.

It provides an opportunity for current dancers at our studio to apprentice alongside one of our qualified teachers and assist them while they are instructing their classes. Our program pairs up apprentices and instructors in actual pre-school ballet classes located at North Springs or Blythewood Park. This program is for dancers who are currently registered at Artistic Dance Academy and have a minimum of one year dance training. There is no set age requirement however, students will be evaluated and accepted based on their skill level. Students will be able to take up to three classes for the price of one.

This training session is 1-hour for $40. November 3, 2020, Forgetting to Do Things In the Future: If you are having trouble remembering to keep appointments, birthdays, special occasions, or to do things in the future this course is for you. In this course you will learn about the different types of memories and how memories are created. You will also learn basic techniques to help you remember how to keep up with things you must do in the future. this training session is 1-hour for $40. November 10, 2020, Memory-For-Fitness: If you would like to learn more about foods that promote healthy heart and brain this training course is for you. In this course you will learn how healthy eating habits support a healthy heart and brain. You will also learn about the different types of memory and how memories are created. This training session is 1-hour and 30 minutes for $50. This course is 2 hours per week for 4 weeks. The cost of this course is $40 per class. Brain healthy snacks and coffee served at each session.

It provides an opportunity for current dancers at our studio to apprentice alongside one of our qualified teachers and assist them while they are instructing their classes. Our program pairs up apprentices and instructors in actual pre-school ballet classes located at North Springs or Blythewood Park. This program is for dancers who are currently registered at Artistic Dance Academy and have a minimum of one year dance training. There is no set age requirement however, students will be evaluated and accepted based on their skill level. Students will be able to take up to three classes for the price of one.

It provides an opportunity for current dancers at our studio to apprentice alongside one of our qualified teachers and assist them while they are instructing their classes. Our program pairs up apprentices and instructors in actual pre-school ballet classes located at North Springs or Blythewood Park. This program is for dancers who are currently registered at Artistic Dance Academy and have a minimum of one year dance training. Artistic Dance Academy offers classes in ballet, tap, lyrical, and Jazz/Hip-hop for ages 3-17 years old. Join us for a fun-filled year of dance! Students have the opportunity to showcase their talent in a Full costume recital at the ending of the dance season! **A late registration fee of $5.00 will be applied by the second week of each class. For more information, please contact the instructor. Tiny Tutu 1 - Pre-School Ballet/ Creative Movement (Ages 3-5): In preschool ballet dancers dive into ballet technique while still enjoying a fun and creative class. Creative movement uses beautiful music, improvisation and story-dances to engage preschoolers' active imagination. Full costume recital at the ending of dance season.*Wear all pink: leotard, tights, and ballet shoesTiny Tutu 2 - Ballet/Tap (Ages 4-7): This class is designed for dancers who want to try both ballet and tap dance. Black tap shoesPre-Ballet (Ages 6-9): Fundamentals of ballet technique is taught in the traditional sequence of a ballet class: warm up, barre exercises, stretch, and center floor. Students will learn both rhythm tap (focuses more on music and rhythms), as well as musicality and timing. Level 2 combination class is for quick learners or dancers with experience. There will be a full costume recital at the end of the dance year. *Wear comfortable dance attire, sneakers, and nude jazz shoesArtistic Dance Academy Trio-Choose three disciplines of dance for the price of one (Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Jazz & Hip-Hop Classes) Private Lessons-Students will be able to receive one-on-one assistance with a qualified teacher to work on dance techniques, form, posture and performance. Student Apprentice Program-The Student Apprentice Program is offered by Artistic Dance Academy for dancers who want to take their knowledge further than what's offered in instructor-based classes. It provides an opportunity for current dancers at our studio to apprentice alongside one of our qualified teachers and assist them while they are instructing their classes. Our program pairs up apprentices and instructors in actual pre-school ballet classes located at North Springs or Blythewood Park. This program is for dancers who are currently registered at Artistic Dance Academy and have a minimum of one year dance training. There is no set age requirement however, students will be evaluated and accepted based on their skill level. Students will be able to take up to three classes for the price of one.

Cheer & Dance Startz Here (Cheer & Majorette):Cheer and Majorette class curriculum will expose each child Fundamentals of Traditional Cheerleading, incorporate art of Stomp and Shake Cheerleading for the students interested in cheer.  The Art of Majorette Dance for participants interested in expressing themselves through art of dance.Parents  no prior cheer or dance experience  required to join our program but  emphasize the importance of paying attention , no talking while coach is introducing or reviewing a skill, try your best all the time, ask questions when you are unsure, and follow directions,  and  practice, practice, practice.Students that desire to participate in Hip Hop Majorette and Stomp N Shake Cheerleading must be 10 years old and up attend completed Cheer and Majorette class for 4 weeks to learn the basics Cheer motions, jumps, level one tumbling with Satisfactory and above in skill progression.  Majorette routines are high-energy, synchronized, rhythmic dance moves include level one tumbling, cheer dance moves, jumps in their pom and dance routines.Class Dress Code:  shorts, leggings, fleece sweats, long or short sleeves tee shirt sports bras for developing young ladies.  No jeggings, Jean’s or school uniforms, cheer uniforms from other teams such as pop Warner, schools, or leagues, wear sneakers no boots, slippers or sandals, dress shoes jewelry Cheer & Dance Startz Here has new no share policy as Result of COVID-19 pan epidemic in order to minimize the risk of exposure.
